Ridin'...ridin'...

I got a new bike last week. This is seriously like when I was a little kid and got a brand new Schwinn for the first time. I'm excited and I make excuses to ride it. It's a Raleigh C40, a hybrid. Not a mountain bike (those days are over), and not a racing bike (yeah, right). Just something I can cruise along on while going to school or wherever. It's got big wheels, shiny handle bars, the whole nine yards. Hell, I'm tempted to put a bell on it.

Unfortunately, I'm a little bit under the weather and haven't ridden in like two whole days!!! I think I might still be able to eek somthing out on Monday, though, if not sooner.
Well, that's all I have in me for now...

I now fear Hell

Ever wonder what you would say to a contestant if you were a judge on American Idol? That's what I would say after that last person - "I now fear Hell". Not in a 'I think you're a bad singer so I'm going to say something witty" sort of way. No. This would be a 'I now love Jesus because I'm mortally terrified of having to listen to you after I die' kind of fear. She was just that bad, even if her "friends" and the voices in her head disagree.

I spent the afternoon in the learning lab and got a whole mess o' physics done. It was way cool. However, it was a test from last semester to test our current knowledge, and I seriously hope it's not stuff that we have to know. If it is, I'm sunk, but I think I'll be ok.

The MLK-Day march was ok. Unfortunately, the speeches were especially long-winded and political this year, and it was cold. After the walk, we got immediately on the bus back to the car, but at least we got some good exercise.

Cousin Kevin was in town last weekend, and we had a good (albeit brief) time. There's nothing quite like reveling in seeing fathers of young children go through what I once did. Of course, he doesn't have girls...

I'm enjoying this so much that I might actually tell someone this is here.
