Day 6 - Kids & Educational

We just got into a motel, & we didn't really do anything podcast worthy anyway. The kids made a new short one, though, and I'm also putting up the one they did a few days ago. Also, Carrie's podcast on the background of Chataqua is up.

Colorado, Day 3 - Onward Through the Fog

In which we all get high (14000 feet) and see some marmots. We definitely had more energy at the bottom of the hill than at the top. Oh, and mom's car get's a paint job.

PHOTOS!
Day 2 - mostly the girls taking stuff from the car, but there's also the sign with the bullet holes. Also the pics of the front & back of the cabin.

Day 3 - First sunrise, and a weak attempt to get the Flat Irons in the morning light. Then the car, the castle, and the Pike's Peak on the way up (check out the fog) and on the way down, with a science experiment in between (the chip bag inflated, but didn't explode). Finally the Anasazi dwelling.

Colorado, Day 2

Well, we're in Cabin 13 now. I know I promised pictures, but I brought the wrong cable so I can't connect the camera to the laptop. Today we had a nice drive through the rain, a shoe crisis, and a rather hurried dinner. We also met some neighbors and are enjoying the view.

It's strange having wifi access in the cabins.

Colorado trip, day one

Well, this is the first day of our trip. Everything's going well, although Joanna did get a random nosebleed (she's fine now). Maybe tomorrow we'll have something to talk about.

podcast junkie

I love podcasts. They're a great new form of entertainment. One of my current favorites is Infection by Scott Sigler. The feed can be found at http://scottsigler.podshow.com. Sick stuff. Very excellent. His past stuff is also good - Earth Core and Ancestor (my personal favorite). If you like creepy, sick action, Scott's stuff is for you.

Escape Pod is also good. A new short story comes out each week by a different author. The show has almost sort of a Twilight Zone feel.

There's also a bunch of good music podcasts encompassing every possible genre - celtic, rock, native, you name it. Perry Dawsey plays some good stuff, even if he did go to Michigan (last Rose Bowl I saw Michigan in, they *LOST* - Hook 'EM!). He hasn't updated it in a while, though.
